Over-18s

The undercroft is open to people of 18 and over, the age Dutch law sets. The front page asks you to confirm before going further. Answering untruthfully makes no difference, since the check that counts happens at the undercroft door, with a document in hand, on every visit.

No gambling happens on this website

These pages describe a house and one room under it. The website does not offer games, take stakes, hold accounts, accept deposits or move money, so nothing done here can win or lose anything. Gaming takes place only at Bergstraat 41.

Accuracy

We keep hours, rooms and descriptions current, but they are sometimes out of date: supper is off, a room is unavailable, the stair is being repaired. Nothing here is an offer capable of acceptance, and no page creates a contract. A booking exists once the desk has confirmed it by telephone or email, on the terms given then.

Our material

Text, drawings, photographs and the arrangement of them belong to the house or are used with permission. You may read them, print a page or link to it. Without written permission, you may not republish them, copy them elsewhere or use them to train a model.

A link to another site is offered for convenience and does not amount to a recommendation.

Conduct in the house

Staff may refuse service, refuse entry at the undercroft door, or ask a guest to leave, where someone is drunk, abusive, unable to produce a document, or spoiling the house for others. In the gaming room the decision of whoever is working the floor stands at the time. If you disagree, raise it at the desk afterwards.

Availability

The site is provided as it stands. We do not promise it will always be reachable, and it may be taken down for maintenance without notice.

Liability

We are liable for what Dutch law does not permit us to exclude, and your statutory rights as a consumer are not limited by anything on this page. Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website, such as a journey made on the strength of an hour listed here that had since changed.

Governing law

Dutch law governs this site and these terms, and the courts of Overijssel have jurisdiction. A consumer may bring a case where they live.
