What is not on this website

The site has no booking engine, payment page, account or login, which takes away most of what a privacy notice usually has to cover.

Reading the site

Reading the site collects nothing that identifies you. Analytics and advertising scripts stay unloaded until you answer the bar, and they never load if you decline.

Two entries in your browser

• 09_deventer_age_ok: written once you answer the age question, so it is asked once per device.
• 09_deventer_consent: written when you answer the cookie bar, so the answer holds.

Both are local storage. They stay on your device, carry no identifier, and clearing browsing data removes them. If your browser blocks storage the site still works and asks each visit.

Server logs

The host records the request, the time, the page and the browser string, as hosting companies ordinarily do. These are kept for thirty days and then overwritten.

Writing to us

The form sends your name, email address and message, plus a telephone number and dates if you give them. It arrives at the desk as email, is kept with the booking correspondence for two years and is then deleted.

Analytics and advertising

No tag is in use today. If one is added it will be Google Analytics 4 and a Google Ads tag, loading only for readers who accepted. Consent Mode v2 sets all four signals to denied in the head of every page before any other script runs.

Lawful basis under the GDPR

• Consent for analytics and advertising, given at the bar and withdrawable from the footer.
• Steps at your request for the contact form.
• Legitimate interest for server logs, in keeping the site running and free from abuse.

Who else sees it

The hosting company and the email provider see it, and so does Google, for the tags above, once you have consented. We sell nothing, and no guest list goes to anyone for marketing.

Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent. Write to the address above or to [email protected]. We answer within one month and make no charge. The Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens takes complaints, as does the authority where you live.

Where it is kept

Data is held on servers inside the European Economic Area. None of the above involves a transfer outside it, apart from the Google tags, which exist only with your consent.

Children

This is not a site for children, and the undercroft is for over-18s. We do not knowingly keep anything collected from a child. If you think a child has used the form, tell the desk and it will be deleted.

Changes

The date on this page moves when the text does.
